Low-Income Housing Assistance Available in Evansville: Section 8 Program Opening Application Period
Attention Low-Income Citizens:
Evansville Housing Authority (EHA) is pleased to announce the opening of the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) application period from July 6-8, 2021. This program provides low-income citizens with financial assistance to rent private housing in the area.
Eligibility and Application Process:
To be eligible for the Section 8 program, applicants must meet certain income and other requirements. Interested individuals can download an HCV Section 8 application online or pick one up from EHA Community Resource Center at 1321 Edgar Street, Evansville, IN 47710. Completed applications must be mailed to the above address by July 8, 2021.
Please note: The waiting list will close after July 6, 2021. For those who need to submit paperwork, a secure dropbox is located at the entrance of the HCV Section 8 Office at 411 SE 8th Street.
