Welcome to Northern Lights College

Northern Lights College (NLC) offers accessible post-secondary education and workforce training to students across Northern British Columbia and beyond. Our programs are designed to meet the needs of the local communities and industries, providing our students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their chosen careers.

Intake Periods

NLC offers intakes for each semester in September, January, and May. This flexibility allows students to start their studies at a time that works for them.

Serving the Communities of Northern BC

NLC serves the communities of Northern British Columbia that are located on the territories of the Cree Dene Dunne-Za Kaska Saulteau. We are committed to providing accessible and affordable education to all students in our region.

Our Students

NLC students come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. We have students who are just starting out their post-secondary journey, as well as those who are looking to upgrade their skills or retrain for a new career. We welcome students of all ages and abilities.

Student Social Group for Students from the Philippines

NLC offers a student social group for students from the Philippines. This group provides a supportive and welcoming community for Filipino students at NLC. The group hosts social events, cultural activities, and study sessions.
