Kareem Thawer and Mike Longabardi to Join the 76ers Coaching Staff

Assistant Video Coordinator and Assistant Coach Positions Filled

The Philadelphia 76ers have announced the additions of Kareem Thawer and Mike Longabardi to their coaching staff for the upcoming season. Thawer will serve as the team's assistant video coordinator, while Longabardi will take on the role of assistant coach.

Thawer's Background

Thawer joins the 76ers after spending the previous season as an assistant video coordinator with the Dallas Mavericks. Prior to that, he held the same role with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Longabardi's Experience

Longabardi brings extensive coaching experience to Philadelphia. He most recently served as an assistant coach with the Brooklyn Nets. He also held assistant coaching positions with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Toronto Raptors.

Nurse's Vision for the Season

With the additions of Thawer and Longabardi, head coach Nick Nurse now has a total of 15 coaches on his staff for the 2023-24 season. This includes top assistants Bryan Gates, Bobby Jackson, and Rico Hines.
