Venom 2: Andy Serkis Teases Klaue's Return

Serkis Hints at Klaue's Expanded Role in Upcoming Sequel

From Villain to Hero?

The long-awaited sequel to the 2018 blockbuster Venom is finally on the horizon, and it looks like Andy Serkis' villainous character Ulysses Klaue will be making a return. In a recent interview with Collider, Serkis teased that Klaue will have a more prominent role in the upcoming film.

"I think there's a lot more to explore with Klaue. He's such a complex character," Serkis said. "He's not just a straightforward villain. There's a lot of pain and anger beneath the surface. I'm excited to see what they do with him in the sequel."

Klaue made his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Avengers: Age of Ultron, where he was portrayed as a ruthless arms dealer who allied himself with Ultron. He later returned in Black Panther, where he was killed by T'Challa. However, it seems that Klaue's death may not have been as final as it seemed.

"I can't say too much, but I can tell you that Klaue's story is far from over," Serkis said. "He's a survivor. He's always looking for a way to get ahead. I think we'll see a lot more of him in the sequel."

The sequel to Venom, titled Venom: Let There Be Carnage, is scheduled to be released on September 24, 2021. The film will see Tom Hardy reprise his role as Eddie Brock/Venom, and it will also introduce the characters of Carnage (Woody Harrelson) and Shriek (Naomie Harris).
